Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 Large Lemons
- 150g Granulated Sugar
- 1.4 litres of boiled water
- Crushed ice
Method
- Use a potato peeler to peel the zest from your lemons and place them in a jug.
- Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice in to the jug
- add the sugar
- Boil a kettle and add 1.4 litres of boiling water (make sure an adult does this for you).
- carefully stir the ingredients in the jug.
- Allow to cool
- Cling film and place in the fridge over night
- Strain the liquid through a sieve.
- Serve in a glass with ice and a slice of lemon
Alernatives
It is great fun to experiment!
you could substitute some lemons with limes and oranges to create a citrus drink. You could even add some fresh mint and green tea to create a Chinese Citrus tea (6 green tea bags, hand full of fresh mint 3 lemons 3 limes and 2 oranges).
